Step 1: General introduction
The grammar items in this unit focus on subordinate clauses. Students will learn that subordinate clauses are used to express less important ideas in a sentence. They will review three main subordinate clauses—the adverbial clause, the noun clause and the attributive clause. They are expected to know what each clause can be used to express and which conjunctions can be used in each clause. Meanwhile, students are expected to apply what they have learnt by fulfilling some written tasks.
