Programming Volunteers Wanted!
Jefferson Public Radio(JPR)currently has multiple opportunities for talented community members to join the volunteer programming staff. If you have extensive(广博的) knowledge and love for one or more of the many types of music JPR broadcasts, we’d love to start that conversation.
Our current opportunities include:
Open Air Host (Weekdays)JPR’s signature music show is in need of a few new amazing substitute hosts(代理主持人)! We’re looking for people with unlimited curiosity about artists and musical styles, an artistic sensibility, and the desire to share music with others. We’ll need you both for training and for the real deal either from 8: 30 am to noon, or from 11: 30 am to 3 pm. If you’ve ever dreamt of doing a “dream job” like playing music on the radio, we’d love to have you. Plus, you’ ll be able to explore our 25,000 album music library and get to use our brand-new studios!
Classical Music Host (Weekdays) We' re presently on the lookout for one or two people able to share their passion for classical music with the JPR audience on an occasional substitute basis. You must have a deep knowledge of classical music, solid pronunciation skills and a fair bit of computer proficiency(精通) to be successful, plus have time in your schedule to be available(有空的) weekdays between7 am and 4 pm. We’ll provide all of the training to have you sounding like pro(职业主持人) in no time.
