1.     Show some pictures about parts of a computer and ask students to give each an English name.

1. Look at these pictures. In pairs discuss

    what they have in common.

2. What do they tell you about the development of computers?

3. What do you think will be the next development?

Step 5:Pre-reading

1. Look at the title of the reading passage. Predict what it is going to be about.

2. Do you know in what ways computers are used today? Work out a list and compare it with your partner.
