一、使用主从复合句
复合句可以把结构松散的句子连接起来，从而使表达显得高级。高考写作中用到的复合句包括下列几种：
(1) 定语从句
I’m writing to express/convey/extend my sincere/heartfelt gratitude/appreciation to you for your timely/generous help/assistance/what you have done for me, without which I wouldn’t have made such rapid progress.
We paid a visit to the city museum and some places of interest, which made me have a better understanding of(have a deeper insight into) the English society, culture and history.
It also helps to listen to Chinese songs and watch Chinese movies, which can enable you to gain a better understanding of Chinese.
To begin with, it is a good idea to make more Chinese friends in your daily life, with whom you can practice your spoken Chinese.
